Pivot

In These Times

16 Oct

“What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.”

T.S. Eliot

This doesn’t mean it’s time to leave.

And if you do, that you can never go back.

But once you walk out that door, and it closes behind you, your life will not be the same.

And, they might use this to scare you.

To dissuade you from the course you know you must take.

But it will never be the same.

Whether you stay, or you go.

If Life requires a quick pivot, then we do it.

No questions asked.

Now, more than ever, directed by the muse of our own unerring compass,

The wisdom of heart.

We sift through the white noise of external contradiction, muting the talking heads.

Listening, instead, to deep Self.

Our homing beam of abiding intuition.

We make good company with ourselves,

Taking respite in the calmness and clarity of our own attentions.

How do you feel, my love?

And what are your instincts telling you?

“They will not let me off – till I go with them …
and charge them full with the charge of the soul.”

Walt Whitman

If you were to ‘sing the body electric’, how might that sound?

You do not need statistics to access your depths,

Soul wisdom is ever more spacious, veracious,

And it is for you alone.

Far, far away from the tyranny of imposition.

That is not the way of it,

As freedom is its breath.

So you do that one true thing you know to do,

Allowing consequence to fall as it may,

Staking your claim as a co-creator of the New Earth,

Forging fresh ground with courageous hands and noble heart.

“One day you finally knew
what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you
kept shouting
their bad advice —
though the whole house
began to tremble …
But you didn’t stop.
You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers
at the very foundations …
But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do —
determined to save
the only life that you could save.”

Mary Oliver

I’m impressed, I must say. Rarely do I come across a
blog that’s both educative and amusing, and without a doubt, you’ve hit the
nail on the head. The issue is an issue that too few folks
are speaking intelligently about. Now i’m very happy I came across this during my search
    for something concerning this.
