Heart and Grit

Delete

In These Times

23 Apr

Let’s start by giving my own exhaustion the heave-ho.

Ok – done. Moving on to other worthy candidates for the delete button.

A whimsical and by no means exhaustive list. See what you might add as we go along:

✦ Deactivate close-mindedness

✦ Adjourn illusions about returning to “normal”

✦ Suspend the habit of not learning from our mistakes

✦ Disentangle the coupling of Grace without Gratitude

✦ Quit converting frustration into rudeness

✦ Reject the illusion that worthiness should not be all-inclusive

✦ Cast off the invisibility cloak for all who walk this world unseen (who wish to be seen)

✦ Heal any impulse to consume toxic substances

✦ Rewind the trajectory on species extinction

✦ End loss of life by all creatures in road accidents, trophy hunting, factory farming and all manner of human malfeasance

✦ Remove glyphosate from use on the planet

✦ Trim away excess likelihood for a fifth year of devastating wild fires

✦ Banish leaf blowers – bring back the rakes!

✦ Cease creating life-damaging products

✦ Terminate profit priority over service to the planet

✦ Cleanse ourselves of political animosities

✦ Spare us the undress and x-ray at TSA :)

As you can see, we’re just getting started … and, we could go on for days.

But, notice this. Our candidates for deletion typically fall into three categories for an Add button: Add Respect. Add Love. Add Care.

And most of them would qualify for the group discount by adding all three.

Isn’t it obvious that Love, Respect and Caring go together?

When we offer ‘love and prayers’, we might ask ourselves how that translates into an active form of caring. In other words, how do we intend to physicalize our prayer energies?

A couple of items on our list are a bit silly. But most are alive-serious.

We might consider rephrasing a few as positive reflections. For example, hit the Add button for: “We learn from our mistakes”, “All beings are worthy; or “Each act of Grace is met with Gratitude”, or “Clean up your toxic products, now.”

See what I mean?

It’s healing to affirm.

And sometimes, it clears out a lot of the dead air just to ditch what sucks.

Gives us the strength to carry on.

SELECT ALL for transformation. Add/Delete, effective immediately.

May I live this day compassionate of heart, clear in word, gracious in awareness, courageous in thought, generous in Love.
